NHL looking to give Toronto their own "LA Clippers"

A little competition in the Toronto market should improve the Maple Leaf product, however by the time a new franchise finally sets up shop, the Leafs' rebuilding should be complete and they should be a championship team. Therefore any new franchise in Toronto would be a poor cousin of the Leafs, like the Islanders/Devils/ Jets in New York, or worst... like the Clippers in LA
